What Causes Itching On Upper Back?

I have itching on my upper back on the left side. It has lasted for about two years now. I have gone to dermatologists and they don t see any thing in that area and do not have an answer for me. One of the doctors said it was from arm movement or lack of standing up straight. I have never heard of such a thing. It also starts to itch more when it is exposed to the air. Can you help me with this problem?

Hi thanks for using HCM,
long standing itching rash on shoulder back
may be...fungal or contact dermatitis.
1) in fungal infection spreading to other area is common and also contagious. so in this angle you try to exclude this.
2) Contact dermatitis...Due to constant touching of outer object, may be exoallergens, wood or Iron.
Are you having any history of this contact, if not you can exclude this.
3) finally. anything above probability, you may go for this treatment.
*Apply Clotrimazole, beclomethasone and gentamycin cream on the affected part morning.
*Tab Fluconazole 150 mg weekly once.
*Tab Levocetrizine 10 mg daily night.
* Momentasome and gentamycin cream night.
