What Causes Itching On The Thighs Near The Testicles?

Hello. My husband has had itching on the thigh skin near his testicles for as long as I can remember. He keeps saying it might be an allergic reaction to his boxers, but his skin has started turning darker and coarser. I got him Previsone from the pharmacist and now he's scared because his testicles are turning red. Could it be that it's not fungal infection?

Hi,

Your doubt is right, your husband is most probably having fungal infection.. candidal intertrigo. It may be precipitated by perspiration, soap and excessive bath. DM,HIV,anaemia, nutritional deficiencies and internal diseases.,,may be ruled out. Antifungal like itraconazole or ketoconazole for few weeks, antihistaminics like levocetirizine and short course of antibiotics may be given to him. Apply antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream. Avoid soap bath. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis and treatment. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
