What Causes Itching In The Groin Area?

i had itching in groin area, i thought it is a jock itch and used allegra 120 mg tables for 6 days and applied itch guard cream, but no improvement. i went to doctor, he prescribed usage of onitraz forte tables twice a day for 10 days, is it safe to use for above disease, or any other best treatment available.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
1.     Apply antifungal cream containing clotrimazole, steroid and antibiotic such as Lobate GM cream thrice daily for 15 days
2.     You can keep taking oritraz forte as suggested by your doctor
3.     Keep your groin area clean and dry
4.     You can use ketoconazole dusting powder also
5.     Do not scratch
6.     Take high protein diet such as eggs and cheese to boost immunity
7.     Investigation – blood sugar (fasting & postprandial)
