Hi.. I need some medical advice.. shortly after having protected intercourse, I ve been experiencing itching on my body .. it s like pin pricks and crawling sensation .. not on my genitals and not restricted to any place .. upper back, arms, sometimes on legs.. I haven t had any fever or any other symptoms as such. Also there are no rashes as such, just itchy. Just want to know hope this is not indication of HIV. I asked the girl and said she s clean and not having HIV but don t know if I should trust that. Pls help!
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Possibility of HIV infection is very less because HIV virus can not cause immediate effect and won't cause itching. Herpes genitalis infection is more likely. So better to consult dermatologist and get done clinical examination and start acyclovir (anti viral). Also apply mometasone cream on itchy areas. Drink plenty of fluids orally and keep yourself hydrated. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
