What Causes Itching In The Arms While On PICC For Pneumonia Treatment?
I am on a PICC due to pneumonia. This also is due to my left lung having a hole greater than 50% of the lung. I have been injecting the Saline I.V. Flush since December 21st. Over the last couple days, both my arms have become extremely itchy. They turn red occasionally and become bumpy. Do you believe this is a reaction to the saline?

As per your description it seems like an allergic reaction. Normal saline can cause allergy in some individuals. As of now consult your doctor and get a shot of hydrocortisone. An allergen test might be helpful.
