What Causes Itching During Treatment For Dengue Fever?
Hi doctor My niece is detected with dengue fever with NH1 showing positive and platelet count in the first round was 180000 then in the second test after 2 days it showed 150000 its been 6th day running today fever has subsided in the frequency but since last night she has started complaining of itching . can u plz suggest is it the sign of subsiding the dengue fever or is this again going to help the platelet count to drop kindly suggest

No itching does not specifically indicate any worsening of platlet count falling. It is a nonspecific sign . but generalised itching may be a problem related to the ... Following problems....
It may be drug related allergic reaction.
It can be a problem related with hepatitis.
See platlet count is not significantly low in this case you have to worry if the count is very low like below 50000.
