What Causes Itching, Burning, Swelling And Discharge From The Vagina?

I thought that I had a normal itching down in my vagina, so I kept itching. Then a few days later it gets out of control & starts to burn. I left it be and went as if. A lot of discomfort and itching and burning and discharge. I then went to the emergency room because I couldn t stop throwing up. I had drank the night before at a party so I thought it was like alcohol poisoning. They found nothing serious so I just went home that was four days ago. Today I just bought some yeast infection applicator and cream that it said would clear it in a day and since I did the treatment it s gotten worst. More itching, much more burning, A LOT of discomfort and the applicator things that I inserted into my vagina is like oozing out on Timmy panties. My vagina is also RED, and swollen. What do you think this could be? Or mean? Is it treatable?? Do I go to the hospital??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
I understand your concern
Your symptoms could be due to vaginal infection like yeast infection, valvovaginitis.
Just one day treatment will not cure problem.
I would suggest to consult gynecologist and undergo vaginal swab test to confirm infection.
Following treatment will help you
Single dose treatment of azithromycin + fluconazole + tinidazole
Vaginal suppository of clingen and lactobacillus
Oral fluconazole for 2 weeks can be useful
Wash vagina with warm salted water and then apply apple cidar vinegar
Oral levocetrizine at bed time
Avoid chemical soap and cosmetics, douching
Wear pure cotton loose inner wear and maintain proper pelvic hygiene
Best regards
Dr. Sagarh
