General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.
Welcome to the HCM.
Sudden swelling and itching can occur because of insect bite , travelling to forest areas ,worm infestation and side effect of any medicine..
Since skin symptoms have to be seen in person by a doctor to evaluate the reason.
For decreasing swelling and itching you may take antihitamines.
My opinion would be get checked by a dermatologist and discuss further.
Regards,
Dr.Maheshwari
