What Causes Itching And Swelling Around The Anus?
Hello. I have swollen areas around my anus & it can get extremely itchy. I have had this before & has gone away after a about a week. This time it is more severe & I can feel it has extended to the area below my testicles. Should I wait & see if it clears on its own or do I need to see a doctor immediately? Thanks

you need to see you doctor.
the recurrent swelling itchy swelling indicates there may be some infection too.either bacterial of fungal.bacterial infection may produce large swelling with pus.it may require drainage (if too large) and proper antibiotic. superficial fungal infection present with reddish area with extremely itch.it requires application of anti fungal cream.
if it has not infective etiology but immune medicated or due to dryness it may respond on topical steroid application.
