What Causes Itching And Small Round Pustules On The Arm?
I first thought I had poison oak or ivy because I had been working in the yard and my husband had a patch of it to come up on his hands. Then my Mom who was helping began breaking out. I had a couple of small spots on my arm that looked more like ant bites. I went to my doctor and told her I had a mild case and she gave me a shot. The next day I was covered on my arm with small round postules. Mom went to her Doc and he said she had scabies and gave her cream for us both. I have used it twice and am continuing to break out. My arms are covered and are itching horribly, so is my Mom. My husband is fine. Please What else could it be and how in the Heck did we get scabies.
My treatment advice is: 1. Do not squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7 to 10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
