What Causes Itching And Irritation In The Throat?

My tongue and throat are itchy and irritated. I ve noticed a batch of small red dots on the back end of the roof of my mouth. This is where the itching sensation is the strongest and I mostly notice the itching when I swallow. My throat is not sore or swollen. There is no mucas or white spots visible. I do not have a fever or any other symptoms of which I m aware. I do not have any food or other allergies that I know of. Is this some sort of allergic reaction or could it be viral/bacterial?

Hi,
it could be a viral infection.Kindly visit a physician.
The following drugs may be helpful:
1. Antihistamines - cetrizine 10mg daily once at night for 7 days.
2. Tablet paracetamol 500mg thrice daily for 3 days .
3. Tablet amoxycillin 500mg 3 times a day for 7 days to prevent bacterial
infection.
Salt water gargle and steam inhalation. Drinks lots of water and warm fluids.
