What Causes Itching And Burning In Thigh And Underarms After Applying Topisal?

hi doctor, i ve got tinea cruris, my doctor has advised me application of topisal-6% ointment in underarms, under chest and inner thigh. m using it since 3days but i am eperiencing itching n burning sensations in those parts is it natural??

Hello,
Topisal contain strong steroid and salicylic acid which is not recommended for use in sensitive areas like groin, underarms.
Instead follow the regimen I am highlighting below.
I generally recommend proper course of oral antifungal drug like fluconazole / itraconazole for few weeks.Also I would suggest local application of sertaconazole or luliconazole cream over affected areas for few weeks.
Take oral antihistaminics for itching as required.
Maintain hygiene.
