What Causes Itching And Burning In The Vagina With Swelling?

hi, tonight before i took a shower i noticed that my vagina lips were kind of feeling itchy. so i checked and when i spread my legs, it burned a little. so then i found out that one of my vagina lips are swollen! it burned a little to the touch. what is it?

There are many possible explanations for the swelling and itchiness. One possibility is that you are having an allergic skin reaction to something. This could be a new soap, lotion, or detergent. It is also possible that it is due to irritation from shaving, or reaction to a new shaving cream. Yeast can cause this problem as well. You can use a hydrocortisone cream that will help with the itch, but if it persists, you should see your doctor to help you figure out what your problem might be.
