What Causes Itchiness With Dark Spots On Skin?
I have a skin disorder my skin itches and i have dark spots i went to a dermo and he thought was psorasis but when he did a skin biopsy and it was not confirmed as that and he says he think it maybe lichen simplex chronicus but i have been dealing with this for a while need answers I need to know can this skin disorder spread he told me its not contagious but i also been having the same itching with my vagina I need to know can my vagina have the same issue?

Lichen simplex chronicus (LSC) is characterised by thickened and dark skin with prominent skin markings. There is irresistible desire to scratch in LSC. The desire to scratch is generated from the brain which is perceived as itching. The more you itch the more it thickens the skin, which in turn generates more itching and the desire to scratch. Thus this form a sort of cycle, the itch-scratch cycle.
LSC chronicus can occur anywhere on the body and there are reports in the literature of LSC of the vulva. Therefore I would suggest that you see a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis whether the itching you experience on vulva is due to LSC or something else.
