What Causes Itchiness And Burning Sensation In The Vagina?

I had protected sex 5 days ago and last week. I have some itching and burning in my vagina. It s been 3 days since the problem started. My period (which isn t generally late and follows a cycle of 28 days) is 4days late. I had a blood test done yesterday and it stated me as non.pregnant. However when I see the reference table it shows the readings for weeks. If I was just a few days pregnant do you think the report would have been positive? Moreover what should do for my vaginal infection.

Welcome to health care magic,
I understand your concern.
HCG test of blood for pregnancy detection is reliable around expected day of menses ( provided menses are regular) . You have regular 28 days cycle & have done the test after 4 days delay in periods.So you are not pregnant.More over your sex was protected & was in last week of your regular menstrual cycle.. so the risk of pregnancy was already nil.
The itching with protected sex is possible with-
- allergy to condom/ rupture of condom to carry infection directly from infected partner,
* You ( both sex partners ) need to get examined by gynecologist to differentiate & give specific treatment for both.
