Hello,

Antibiotics needs to be taken full course to clear infection from tonsils. For inflammation to get reduced it takes some time. Here is what you should do:
1. Gargle your throat with Betadine gargles three times a day
2. Avoid cold beverages
3. Avoid milk, milk products, spicy and oil food
4. Tab Levocetrizine once at night will help bring down the inflammation

If fever and sore throat returns need one more course of antibiotics. Chest pain could be from acid reflux, take medication for that.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
