What Causes Irregular Periods?

Ive had my period reg my whole life. 28/29 days never skipped. had my period 2/22/17 lasted only 4 days very light. normally 7 days heavy in the middle. had blood test done and many home pregnancy test all negative. so doctor is convinced im not pregnant. didn t get my period all of march and my next one was due yesterday 4/19 and still nothing. been checking ovulation haven t ovulated since Feb. so makes no sense to me, and im starting to get nervous. What could it be?

Hi, I think you should go for evaluation first. Get a thyroid profile and prolactin level and a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. It can be due to some thyroid disorder or some ovarian disorder. If any abnormality is there, it can be treated. If you have not ovulated since February, it is obvious that you will not get your periods. So, check these parameters and consult a gynecologist. You may need some hormonal treatment. Hope it helps.
