What Causes Irregular Periods And Dark Discoloration Of Nipples During Menopause?

I m forty eight years old and menopausal. My period lasted three weeks and normally it lasts one and half to three days. Now I notice after it stopping that my areolas are darker. I m not pregnant am I. My tubes were tied at forty with my first pregnancy c cection.
