What Causes Irregular Periods Along With Lower Abdominal Pain?

My periods are irregular cycle of 30 to 40 days before which on around 10 days before periods I get very sharp pin prick pain under my Iliac bone on left lower abdomen and sometimes severe pain difficulty to sit or even defecate what can it s be I am trying to conceive since 7months but no results yet

I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Irregular periods are most likely due to polycystic ovarian disease which even cause infertility if not treated and in some cases even stress will cause irregular period. As you are trying to conceive I can suggest you to have some tests like
-Ultrasound abdomen
-Hormonal study which includes FSH,LH,OESTROGEN,PROGESTERONE etc
-Thyroid profile to rule out thyroid disorders which are other cause for irregular periods.

If you have those tests and consult your doctor you will definitely find the cause and your doctor can treat accordingly.Hope this naswers your query. Get back if you have more.
