Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
The past four months my heart with beat hard for three beats and then pause. I feel a pressure in my chest right before it happens and it becomes hard to take a breath. In the beginning it was happening once every few weeks and would last a minute or two. But, it's begun to happen more frequently and they last for 10 to 15 minutes. There isn't any't pain, I just feel anxious and pressure in my chest and can't concentrate while they're occuring.
I have read your query and i will make some contribution.
You need to see a cardiologist for an ECG which will confirm or rule out the irregular heart beats you are talking of. If the heart beat is irregular, then you have an arrhythmia in which causes are varied but the ECG will precise the type of arrhythmia and any associated lesions like ischemic lesions if any is present.
The cardiologist will then prescribed drugs if needed or request more tests such as electrolytes ( calcium, sodium, potassium etc) if needed.
Best regards Dr Achuo
