What Causes Irregular Heart Beats?

I take my blood pressure once a day.It is usually around 115/78 or so every once in a white it will come up irregular heart beat about once a week,is this anything to be concerned about as I am having short term memory problems for about 4 months after an episode I am female 67 yrs of age

After going through your medical details I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that considering your age and history of irregular heart beats you should get a basic cardiac evaluation done which can help in preventing life threatening arrhythmia ( irregular heart beat ). Kindly get an ECG, Echocardiography and Holter ( ambulatory ECG Monitoring ) for minimum 48 hour and consult a Cardiologist for further management.
