What Causes Irregular Heart Beats With Panic Anxiety Disorder?

Hello, I have irregular heart beats every day and they worry me, I have had testing in the past and they couldn t find the problem, but I do have panic anxiety disorder, and I am on Suboxone, Lovistatin, Clonazapam, and Lyrica. Do any of these medications cause I regular heart beats? Also, I have gained 20lbs. since I began the Suboxone so I m going to ween off of it. What do you think? The palpitations are very disturbing. Would it help to get more excersize? Linda

Palpitation or uncomfortable awareness of heart beat and Panic/Anxiety disorder are closely linked and the disagreeable symptoms can be very unsettling. In most instances, heart beat irregularity is not a serious problem but it should not be ignored. Your doctor can arrange to measure your heartbeats for 3 to up to 30 days to ensure you are not at risk. Often, this is the only "treatment" needed.
If anxiety is found to be your source of symptoms, you have many options that your doctor can suggest to improve control.
Lastly, exercise, after ensuring that no serious abnormality is present, is always a good choice and will help both problems.
