What Causes Irregular Heart Beat And Insomnia?

I have been feeling like I have a fast or somewhat irregular heart rate for the past couple of days but today is worse. My husband just took it and it was 92. Also recent insomnia. Am concerned as I am not feeling right. Am currently on Cymbalta and an anti seisure med for headache.
Please advise.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Anyway, I recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests in order to exclude possible cardiac arrhythmia:
- a resting ECG and a cardiac ultrasound
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid gland dysfunction
- blood electrolytes for possible imbalance
- complete blood count for anemia.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
Cardiologist
