I am having jumping arms and legs I am now on hydrocodone for this and it is working, but have been told i need to get off of hyd, because they are habit forming, suggested I try requip or mirapex,,, the side affects are bad, bad bad, what do you say

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

It would be definitely advisable to get off hydrocodone since it may lead to addiction very quickly especially if high dosages are prescribed. This is neurological issue so some neurotropic medications may be more adequate such as Requip and these can be taken as a long term therapy. However, hidrocodone withdrawal should be slow and planned in consultation with neurologist. If you cant do it then hidrocodone should be taken in small dosages and Requio should be added into therapy.
