What Causes Internal Bleeding After Undergoing Appendectomy?

Hi I have had an appendectomy seven days ago on a Tuesday as I was told I had a twisted appendix, the following evening I was rushed back into theatre with internal bleeding I had lost eight pints of blood. My question is this is this my drs fault due to neglicence as he only wanted to operate again the following day after I had passed out and blood test showed that my blood count was low, my husband insisted that they operate immediately. My second question is I now have come out in bruises on the inside of my thigh purple ones is this normal ? Please help

Hello,

As per my clinical experience, no surgeon will shift the patient out of operation theater if there is an internal problem going on in terms of bleeding or else. There are many reasons for postoperative internal bleed which requires a detailed case evaluation. For bruises on the inner of the thigh, it indicates an internal body system issue with platelets, clotting factors or others.
