What Causes Intermittent Spotting, Nausea, Cramping And Breast Pain?
I am 19 and have been diagnosed with PCOS. My periods have been absent for awhile but recently I have been spotting on and off for a week and a half. It has been brown to pinkish discharge. I have had nausea and some cramping. As well as breast hurting and headaches. Could it be a possibility that I am pregnant? If so, when should I test to get an accurate result? A missed period would not help since, I have absent periods.
I can understand your concern. Having irregular and missed periods is a very usual symptom of PCOS. If you are not on medications regarding it, your hormones responsible for regular menstrual cycles would be imbalanced and that may cause missed or delayed periods. I would advise you to visit a gynecologist and start treatment for PCOS to maintain regular menstrual cycles.
However, if you want to test for pregnancy, you can take home pregnancy test. The test kit (eg. Prega news) is available over the counter. You can follow the instructions given on the pack and test for pregnancy or for even more accurate results, you can go for a blood pregnancy test in laboratory.
I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. Take care.
