What Causes Intermittent Pain On The Left Side Of The Navel?

Hello. I have noticed the last couple of days I feel a slight stab feeling either in my belly button or the left side of it. But it is not constant pain and it reminds me of when either the skin stretches from pregnancy or when the baby presses his or her foot out. I rate the pain on a scale of 1-10 a 2-3, 10 being the severe pain. However I did take a home pregnancy test last week and it was negative. So I m curious of what it could be?

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I would like to know if you have a missed period and are sexually active without any contraception. Home pregnancy tests read well when performed 3-7 days after the missed period. For an earlier and better clarification, you have to go for the blood test. To know the cause of the pain, you have to get a proper clinical evaluation. It is not a sign of pregnancy. Hope this helps.
