GOOD EVENING, This is a real dumb questions: 1. I am a Breast Cancer Survivor and for the past few days I have sharp, intermittent twinge of pain in and underneath my Left Breast.2. I had a Total Hysterectomy in March 2014 and on my Left side I have been having pain. Any ideas on what maybe wrong? Thank you

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The possible causes of your breast pain are:

-Fibrous thickening due to previous surgery, mastitis, rarely recurrence of CA breast.
-Possible causes of abdominal pain are adhesions due to previous surgery, if ovaries are retained there is possibility of any ovarian cyst.

So as you have previous history of CA breast better to consult your gynecologist once get examined and go for sonomammography and ultrasound abdomen and pelvis. By this the possible causes of your problems can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
