What Causes Intermittent Irritation After A Brazilian Wax?

Hi. I got a brazilian wax about 6 days ago I started to feel an irritation about two days later but I was pretty sure it was a yeast infection because before the wax I had been feeling the irritation on and off for a few weeks. So I wasn t sure if I could treat the infection now that I got the wax but the irritation was starting to become unbareable so I took an over the counter treatment just barely one day ago but now it s become more irritated burning now and Extremely itchy. I ve been icing the area for the past few days before doing the treatment to try to not itchy but now I ve itched so it s pretty much irritated. What should I do? And what can I put to stop the itching and get relief? Would dermoplast be an option?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to irritation from waxing or yeast infection. In such case i would recommend using ointments with combination of antifungal like miconazole and corticosteroid like flucinolone for local application. You can also use natural alternative like aloe Vera or aloe vera gel. Avoid using soaps and irritants to wash the area. You can use saline or warm water.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
