What Causes Intermittent Heavy Feeling In The Legs?

Occasionally I feel a heaviness in my legs when I get up and begin moving around--as if it is an effort just to walk. It goes away quickly and I can walk long distances, use a treadmill, do most exercise easily. This has only happened a few times but it s worrisome. I am a 66 year old female in very good health I believe.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the symptom is appearing at the time of changing the position like standing from sitting position then it could be due to poor sitting position that might caused the compression on local nerve system, else it is nothing to worry and hope this information helps.
I find this answer helpful
