Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of intermittent ear canal numbness with bug crawling feeling which is because sometimes upper respiratory tract infection, when left untreated spread to ear through Eustachian tube and infect ear , which can cause pain and pressure in ear . Numbness can occur due to nerve dysfunction or infection as well. need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may examine with otoscope and can go for audiometric testing as well. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin along with anti inflammatory medications. If numbness or chemical test doesn't improve then consult neurologist . Avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
