What Causes Intermittent Arm Pain, Twitching Sensation In The Thumb And Body Tremors?

For the past 3 wks I having been having bilateral arm pain and weakness, on and off. The first two wks I was having thumb twitching on and off with it. However, my muscles in my shoulders are very tight. When I rub them it seems like the pain is less the next day. Now I have been waking up shaking uncontrollably. I am not sure if it is anxiety?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I am not inclined to think of anxiety as a first cause. Your symptoms could be due to some problem in the brain. I suggest you get CT brain and consult a neurosurgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Gopal Goel, Orthopaedic Surgeon
