What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

I have been on birth control for 4 years but haven't taken it consistently the past 4 months . I have had unprotected sex and just had my period 2 weeks ago . I got it again exactly 15 days after my last one during sex and now I'm having a lot of blood clots and very heavy

Hi I think it can be a side effect of improper birth control pills intake. But you need to rule out any other cause of this. Get a pelvic examination done by a gynecologist to rule out any cervical pathology or infections. Get a ultrasound done to see uterus and ovaries. Hope it helps. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding.
