What Causes Inter Menstrual Bleeding?

I am 52 my last menstrual cycle was October. Now for the last 9 days I thought I was having another cycle it seemed to be coming to anend but these last 3 days have been extremely heavy with clotting and brighter red blood I thought maybe part of menopause but my husband is worried I have no pain, should I go to emergency room or wait to make appointment with my obgyn

Hi, I think you should consult a gynecologist for complete examination. Get a pelvic examination done to rule out any cervical pathology. Also get a ultrasound done to see endometrial thickness. If it is more than 4 mm, go for an endometrial biopsy to rule out any endometrial pathology. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Hope it helps.
