What Causes Inter-menstrual Bleeding?

What is the cause of having your period for the third time in one month? Does it have something to do with hormone imbalance? I m on birth control recently got back on track. First period was normal Oct. 6-10 , Second was very light Oct. 20 - 26, third period heavy and abnormal to me Oct. 27 - now! My clitoris is also irritated no burning but feels a bit swollen and a little itch here and there, quite uncomfortable when I wipe after using the restroom, What is happening to me?!

don't worry ,I would advice you to get an ultrasound done as these symptoms may be due to a fibroid or due to dysfunctional uterine bleeding which needs to be sorted out ,so don't worry ,your itching around clitoris may be due to a localised infection or a urinary tract infection, so get treated for it accordingly
