Pain in abdomen after dinner after eating something sweet indicates one of the following reasons I can think of: There can be an intolerance for sugar, in any form as there can also be enhancement of the symptoms of gastritis or so. Hence I would advise you the following: Stop taking any sugar or sugar containing foods or beverages after food as those causing enhancement or instigating the stomach problems. Also go for upper GI Endoscopy. Tests of blood and stool even for occult blood in stool. Ultrasonography of abdomen. Clinical evaluation by a Doctor correlationship with reports and plan for proper additional treatment. PPI like Omeprazole. Antacids particularly when on empty stomach. Soft bland diet. Rest of the additional management as per the reports and clinical response to the medications.
