What Causes Intense Abdominal Cramps After Placing An IUD?

I have an IUD, and have had i for about two years now. Probably everyday, I have cramps that are so bad it makes me cry at times. I know it isn t menstrual cramps because I hardly get my period. I get these cramps very often, and usually medication can dull the pain (like ibuprofen and acetaminophen,) but it is still present. These aren t normal period cramps, the ones I used to have before my IUD hurt, but never this badly.

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
Intense cramps in abdomen with IUD means
that IUD has start penetration through uterus.
I would suggest you to contact obstetrician to look for IUD positioning.
Hope it helps best.
Take your best care.
