What Causes Instant Sweating?

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me. Throughout the day, I periodically break out into an instant sweat for about a minute or two and then it resolves and goes away. This happens a lot and especially, but not only, when sleeping. I am 38 y.o. Could this be the beginning of menopause or a thyroid problem or anything else in particular?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello and thank you for aksing HCM,

I understand your concern especially while it is affecting your daily life. You are right and the two most likely reasons are thyroid problems or premenopausal symptoms. For premenopausal symptoms you are a little bit young, so visit your gynecologist and make proper examination to see if everythink is ok.
To exclude thyroid problems, visit your GP and make blood tests to check up your thyroid hormones.

I hope this answer was helpful to you and I hope that you will listen to my advice.
