What Causes Insomnia After Taking Ativan And Geodon?

hello, my granddaughter was seen in the ER today for ingesting 8 timed release adderall. While in the ER they gave her an Ativan for anxiety and then sent her home. She was groggy at first, and then her mother gave her her Geodon (for sleep) because she was only groggy, not asleep and now she is wide awake. Not sleepy at all. She took the Adderall around 11:30 this morning. Thanks,

. Well, insomnia may be difficult to treat, but there are some methods which can be used. Treatment options include behavior and lifestyle changes, medicines, and complementary medicines. You need to change your dietary habits and these include changing your sleep area or schedule, watching what and when you eat and drink, and being more active. It's also important to keep regular bedtimes and wake times-7 days a week-and to try to avoid taking naps during the day. Prescription sleep medicines amy also help and include diazepam and similar medications.Melatonin is supplement which may be of help as well. In severe cases special testing is needed.
