Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your mom is showing signs of peripheral neuropathy. In this condition, the nerves of the arms and legs get damaged. Diabetes is the commonest cause of neuropathy.

Other causes include vitamin B12 deficiency and thyroid disease. Once the cause is identified, it can be treated with proper medications.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist
