What Causes Inflammation On The Tip Of The Tongue?

Hey I have a huge question
So I noticed about a week ago maybe my tip of my tongue off to the left side kind of there is like a white skin type of thing ( it's really hard to Explain) it's like my taste buds at the tip are inflamed maybe and it doesn't hurt or burn or anything it's just when I wake up you can see it and through out the day it like goes away but it still seems to kinda be there I haven't noticed it getting worst though

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Yes, it looks like hypertrophied tongue papillae and if it is sore then it can be most probably due to some sort of traumatic injury that is being implicated to the tongue tip..

You might be having any sharp edge of the teeth that must be rubbing against the tongue tip causing inflammation and due to inflammation there is enlargement of the tongue papillae..
Other causes can be tongue biting habit or taking plenty of irritant hot and spicy foods..

Although it is not serious and can resolve with ease..

You should first of all take soft and non irritant foods.
You should start gargling with warm salt water..
Apply ice over your tongue tip, it will reduce inflammation and pain..
Start taking lysine and Vitamin B complex..

Wait for another one week and watch for improvement..
If still there is no improvement consult a Dentist and get a clinical examination done..

Please let me know for more queries..

Hope this helps..

Regards..
