What Causes Inflammation In Between Hip And Knee Post Total Knee Replacement Surgery?

I had a TKR on Jan 21. Ever since my discharge I have experienced a severe burning sensation from my hip to my knee (surgical leg). Nothing seems to relieve the pain. I feel it s hindering progress with my therapy. Tonight I read about non-rash shingles detected through a blood test. Is there some suggestion I can follow to relieve the pain until other plans are made. I ve tried ice, heat, various lineaments and a spray containing lidocaine. Nothing seems to work. Thanks.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, such pain is very common after the surgical procedure you had gone through and any NASID could work better along with your pain bearing capacity, else you have to try some potent analgesic (Narcotic) which is not advisable, so better try to bear the pain as hard as you could once you did this you would get natural analgesic effect and that would be long lasting without any side effect, seems difficult but you can do this, take care and have a nice day.
