What Causes Inflammation Around The Heart With Fever?

My elder friend has been carrying a fever which is coming from an inflamed shief around the heart. What test does she need to take? She is of course on Medicare and some just want to get tests that really get nowhere. Any insight would be great. YYYY@YYYY Betty I m not sure that I really got enough info for you. I really appreciate your concern, it is the febrile condition then it may have several reasons and not just one, if this is the cardiac infection or inflammation, it may be confirm with several investigation depends upon other clinical history hope this information helps.
