Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 49 year old male always been healthy working out for almost 30 years and never taken prescription medicines. Over the last few years I ve been having some issues with my lower wisdom teeth causing my gums to get swollen and infected and I would always take a z-pack but about 3 months and until recently about 6 weeks ago I started experiencing pain in my joints, hands, toes, feet and achy muscles, fatigued. I even have a few lymphomas around my body but the ones around my hip I feel a bit of pain. I went and saw a podiatrist for my little toe pain which I had seen him for before because I slammed it and he didn t see any fractures and gave me a cortisone injection again. I had an accident and fractured my tibia (plateau fracture) and saw my orthopedic surgeon and he said everything look ok except some mild osteoarthritis in my knees and I told him to give me cortisone shoots in both knees but still feel some pain. I finally saw my primary care physician he did routine blood work everything came back ok. He suggested that I see a rheumatologist which I did and he ran all the autoimmune blood work everything came back ok except my hematology sedimentation rate was 18 and not below 10. He diagnosed me with mild inflammation and/or osteoarthritis. He suggested I take anti-inflammatory drugs so he gave me samples of Vimovo and Duexis and now he recommended Nabumetone. I m still not getting better and I ve scheduled my lower wisdom teeth to be extracted next week. My question is can my wisdom teeth cause any of those symptoms or can it be something else?
