What Causes Inflamed Visible Vein On Calf Area With Normal Ultrasound?

In September, it appeared that a varicose vein on my calf was inflamed. This was noticed after a long trip. I went to the hospital and was given a test for blood clots. It was negative. The doctor felt that it was a varicose vein. The u,tea sound was negative. Now, it looks like a lump formed, but it is not painful. Shoul I be. Concerned. There is no color changes, nothing else abnormal. I am a 58 year old male.

HI
Well come to HCM
Formation of Lactic acid in calf muscle would likely this may not be pure inflammation, you have not exactly stated clinical symptom, if this is not painful then no need to worry about this, the lump that you have noticed could be Lipoma, have rest, keep the leg in elevated position for some time, it would be fine soon, forget about the varicose vein, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
