What Causes Infection With Bruised Prostate?

my husbands doctor told him he has a bruised prostrate which was infected, was caused from going horseback riding.Gave him a antibi Ciprofloxacin HCL 500 mg.This was 10/5/11. He is still having problems with no energy and hurting. He also had a colonospy done recently which he had 10 polups scraped 3 that was pre cancerous. So do u think his problem could have anything to do with this? He is also having discomfort there.

Thank you,

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected frances , hi I evaluated your query thoroughly.
* As per narration, colonic polyp were pre-cancerous. Then he must have to
undergo Prostatic biopsy if not done till now.
* Prostate problem may be due to bacterial invasion or even tumor cells
seeding the prostatic capsule .
Hope this clears your query.
