Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an indentation on my upper right buttock. It feels as if the muscle and fat has been removed from that area and that it is a hole in the tissue. I have not had any recent surgeries or injections. My last and only surgery was an ACL reconstruction on my left leg 3 years ago. I m only 20 and it appears as a dimple. It popped up over night and I have no idea what could have caused it.
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you noticed indentation of your buttock feeling like the muscle and fat has been removed from that area and that it is a hole in the tissue. In my opinion it is congenital absent of tissue. This is absent from birth but you have just noticed now. There is no treatment is required and possible. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
