What Causes Increased Heart Rate?

hi doctor, for the past two months I can feel my heart is pounding fast.but when I tried to check my heart rate ,it was around 92-96.but when I smoke, my heart rate immediately increase to 125 to 138 per minute.i have donestreess ecg at bp health care and according to them my heart is find.im seriously worried about this.is that because of I too concern about heart rate,that why I can feel the heart is pounding fast?

1. Since your EKG came normal, even then get an opinion of a Cardiologist who will then look for other common causes of increased heart rate like: exercise, emotion, anxiety,excitement,anemia,thyrotoxicosis, fever.

2. Alcohol,smoking,caffeine: all causes tachycardia thus avoid the same, and also spicy food.
