What Causes Inconsistent Feeling Despite Treating Hydrocephaly With A Brain Stent?

Hi my father had a shunt placed in his brain for hydrocephaly on Feb 10th and showed immediate improvement like a switched had been turned on and continued to improve in gait, incontinence, clearness, etc. He continued to improve until February 27th when like a switch going off he immediately went into decline. We went to his Dr and he increased shunt flow which had not effect at all and has declined rapidly since. The doctor felt there was no chance that there was a blockage in the shunt but other people we know with a shunt who had experienced the same symptoms tell us that it is possibly a blockage as was with theirs. What do you think?

Hi, your father had normal pressure hydrocephalus for which VP shunt was done .
He showed initial improvement followed by decline.
This could be due to blocked shunt , dementia due to NPH or some other cause .
He requires proper evaluation and repeat CT head should be done to know whether shunt is functioning well or not .
Thanks
