What Causes Inability To Drink Water After A Barium Swallow?

I am worried because I have not been able to drink much water since having a swallowing CT scan - with not too much barium - a couple of days ago. Is it a problem if I can't poo yet and what can I do without being able to drink more than sips of water all day.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe, it appears to be the erosion of the esophagus, due to barium. You may need to have treatment .
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment .
He may prescribe, omeprazole, domperidone, and injection of gentamycin.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
